How to Process Your Tourist Permit for Bhutan for Both Indian and Foreign Tourists
For Indian Tourists:
Documents Required:- 1. Passport or Voter ID card (original and photocopy).
- 2. Passport-sized photographs.
- 3. Hotel booking confirmation.
- 4. Travel itinerary.
- 5. Entry form (provided at the entry point)
- • Phuentsholing Entry Point: For overland travel via Jaigaon (West Bengal).
- • Paro International Airport: If you're flying into Bhutan.
- • Entry Permit: Issued at Phuentsholing or Paro Airport for Thimphu and Paro regions. More info: Tourism Council of Bhutan
- • Route Permit: Required for visiting other destinations like Punakha, Bumthang, etc. Issued by the Immigration Office in Thimphu.

For Foreign Tourists (Except India, Bangladesh & Maldives):
Process:- 1. Book a Tour: Contact a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or international partner.

- 3. Visa Approval: You'll receive visa clearance via email.
- 4. Entry Visa Stamp: Provided upon arrival in Bhutan.

- • Confirmed itinerary and hotel bookings
- • Flight tickets.
